Matt is an ex ACS worker who takes exception to me and to what I did and did not do in the child fatality case that helped precipitate the showdown I had with Adegbola, Vargas and the idiocracy of Administration for Children's Services. Here is his link.

Matt makes up rules as he goes along and despises the poor who were his "clients."
Here is one Matt exchange

I am surprised you lasted as long as you did there. I made it through only a few months, and I have to agree that ACS was far more problematic to deal with than any of my clients. I was lucky to have awesome supervision, but it wasn't for me and I went quickly back to the private sector. The problems there are quite serious and far-reaching, bad casework is only a small part of it. There are some great people, but there are not enough of them. In the interest of equal time, I found it a waste of my life to deal with the stupid problems of uneducated people who made the very poor choice to reproduce without having the mental or financial means to support that bad decision. Clients: Please stop doing drugs. Please stop beating your wife and children. Please go back to school and finish your education. School & Work is whats going on, there is no option 3. Also, this site would be a little more credible without the odd mixture of soft-porn and pseudospirituality.

Matt, the soft porn is a stab at irony and perhaps it doesn't work.
As for what you call pseudo spirituality I do believe there is a God of justice and mercy and I do believe there is right and wrong. Most ACS staff would profess a belief in and a fear of God. I try to address them on this level.
As for your attitude toward the poor and their right to reproduce I'm totally against it. I oppose all anti human ideologies such as Malthusianism which is old time nazism. There are not "too many people" on earth, there are too many two legged pigs.

Here is the second exchange with Matt:
"Jean-Philippe, Joycelyn (ACS),- Can't read for comprenesion too well. (Revised June 1, 2007)" Matt said...
Anytime there is a child fatality, it is of the utmost necessity that the home still be assessed immediately and thoroughly for the presence and/or safety of any remaining children. Every square inch thoroughly examined. Any failure to act on the part of ACS/ECS in this instance could've resulted in additional child injury and/or fatality, regardless of police involvement and what the ORT said. The police do police work, not Child Protective work. You don't know anything for sure about the presence or condition of any other children in the home until you go in and verify. I would think that is obvious. You are VERY lucky you didn't wind up on the front page of the Post on this one.

Where did you get this "regulation"? Did you pull it out of your ass?
Matt you are wrong. Do you really think that if a child in Soho or Tribeca or Central Park West or President Street dies ACS comes barging into the home without a warrant at two in the morning after the detectives have already torn the place apart??
Read what I wrote, this time for comprehension. We went to the home even though there was no legitimate CPS report. The state 800 operator in the case spiced up the report the second time around, but I was alreaduy enroute to the apartment. The father denied us entry. He asked us to come back at a reasonable hour. He refused to allow us to awaken and terrorize his neighbors who had helped him at that unGodly hour. He refused to allow us to terrorize his surviving child.
Matt you might have barged in without a warrant and possibly would have gotten away with it too.
Interestingly Hani Malek, the Supe I who accompanied me on the case was soon promoted once I submitted my resignation from ACS. Adegbola and the crew who rang everyone's doorbell in that Harlem apartment building of course had no consequences for their lawless acts. People like them are lucky that the poor tend to be overwhelmed with surviving because that allows impunity. I do believe that there is justice somewhere. God hates ugly.
I intend to post on this and also on what you represented as a CPS worker.

Well then just what does Matt represent as a CPS worker? He represents a mode of thought that justifies the State interfering in the raising of poor and minority children from a point of view that these children should never have been born to begin with. He justifies terrorizing poor and minority parents and government lawlessness. He represents state undermining of parental authority. He represents the government imposition of a certain religious point of view- that the Bible was wrong in its advice for parents : Proverbs 13:24 “Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.” While I personally do not agree with this Bible passage, it is in the bible, millions of people believe it is correct, millions have been raised this way and have gone on to be productive human beings and the government has no right to impose it's viewpoint, or mine, or Matt's on parents in their homes. In fact I'd like to ask Matt if he would do a survey among his fellow real estate investors: Find out how many of them received physical discipline from their parents. Then find out if any former foster children are among them. I'll go it even further than that: Find out how many had parents who had drug or alcohol problems, and in whose homes the father hit the mother. I think he'll find many, many, many who were physically disciplined and who also had troubled homes, but damned few if any real estate investors who survived New York City's foster care system.
Just as he cannot understand how I lasted ten and a half years in Child Protective Services I don't understand why he wanted to leave it. Oh, money.

Putting Your Personal Life Onto the Sidewalk, For The Daily News To See....
Putting Your Business Out On the Street For All The World To See
This happened at the office where Vargas is a honcho and his buddy Jean-Philippe is the honcho. When bozzos like them trample on the dignity of New York Citizens all they need to do is "frantically apologize", then resume doing whatever it is they do...
The ACS department where I worked for eight years, Emergency children's Services, has made the news for the first time since the Child Protective Manager Ramon Vargas bungled Whitick case on super Bowl Sunday, 2005. This time it was because the Daily News found out that ECS takes case records that have all kinds of private information as well as all kinds of unsubstantiated accusations and lies, about hundreds of New Yorkers, puts them in garbage bags and leaves them out on the sidewalk.i
Bloomberg says he's very upset - about the Daily News getting hold of one of these bags - and wants an investgation. If the investigation will be a typical ACS investigation, like the one about what went wrong on the Whitick case, no one needs to worry, unless of course some taxi driving ex-employee had given the bag to The Daily News.
From 11/20 NY Daily News:
Confidential ACS files found dumped on street
BY RICH SCHAPIRO and NICOLE BODE
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS
[Daily News reporter holds confidential files found in clear plastic
bag dumped outside Administration for Children's Services office on E.
29th St. and First Ave.] More than 200 case files filled with
confidential information about the city's most at-risk children were
dumped on a Manhattan streetcorner, the Daily News has found.
The unshredded Administration for Children's Services files - tossed
out in a ripped, clear plastic garbage bag - contained highly
sensitive personal data about families, social workers and police
involved in agency cases dating from 2000-2001.
"You found it on the street? You're kidding me!" gasped Melissa, a
41-year-old mother whose last name the Daily News is withholding.
"They just put it on the street and anybody could have come? Those
people need to be sued for doing what they're doing."
The files were tossed in a trash heap filled with office furniture and
cardboard boxes in front of the ACS offices on E. 29th St. and First
Ave. last Thursday. Agency officials issued a frantic apology to those
named in the files, adding that they were scrambling to learn how it
had happened...

Whitick Case
The Whitick case, Bloombreg, Vargas and me.
ACS flacks told the world that it was not required by regulation that the children in the Whitick case be visited immediately. It was incumbent that either ACS or NYPD make contact as soon as possible, physical and visual contact, because there was a credible report that children were being seriously hurt and they were! 2 days later the cops got involved. Emergency Children's Services had a case worker call the family (!) and of course an adult answered and said that there was no problem, so the matter rested until Tuesday when cops found the kids beaten and battered and needing ambulances. No one has asked whether these kids got beaten before, during or after ACS's very brilliant telephone call.
Mayor Bloomberg told the world that he was outraged, outraged mind you, and that by golly he was going to get to the bottom of it all. Two years plus and no follow up to his outrage is apparent. The puppy dog journalists have no further questions...
I was brought up on charges for supposedly not making an immediate midnight, non emergency cruel, needless and heartless case visit. Cops, detectives in fact, had already been to the home, extensively. A doctor did not call in a report, because there was nothing reportable. Cops called in a report that was rejected. They tried a second time and an exageration or lie was added to the report to make it viable, as the NYS Office of Children's Services is known to do.
While I was brought up on charges the Supervisor One, Hani Malek, who was with me and agreed that there was no need to call police got promoted to Supervisor Two. Go figure!
So, yes I have this thing about the Whitick case, but everyone who cares about children or who pays taxes that go to NYC's ACS should, because here was a call from a person with a name and phone number, not an anonymous call, about kids getting the stuffing beaten out of them. In fact that was an IRT (Instant Response Team) case but since Ramon Vargas was both the manager on duty, and the IRT coordinator, and it was after all, Super Bowl Sunday, and he has this off to the side, curtained off office that no other Child Protective Manager has at ECS, well...
As I approach the first anniversary of my somewhat forced resignation I have renewed energy and will to see that this case, and the matter of Ramon Vargas, accident that has already happened, not get lost.
Who is the idiot who brought me up on charges for this? Well, he isn't an idiot, he's Maradesa Adegbola.
